Ipsos Synovate’s political research analyst Tom Wolf released a poll last week showed that neither PM Raila Odinga nor his deputy Uhuru Kenyatta would win the presidency in first round if elections were held then.

Kenyan men more optimistic than women

www.ntv.co.ke At least 65 percent of Kenyans expect the economy to improve in 2013 and more than half also expect the political climate to improve. According to a new Synovate opinon poll, Kenyan men are a lot more optimistic than Kenyan men. Overall, Kenyans appear a lot more upbeat than they have been in recent years, perhaps due to the promise of a new dawn with the general election in March. However, only 2 percent of Kenyans expect to get a first child, or another on in 2013.

Poll:Raila,Mudavadi ticket most preferred

www.ntv.co.ke A new opinion poll out today suggests Prime Minister Raila Odinga and his Deputy Uhuru Kenyatta would tie in a presidential run off at 44 percent. The poll by Ipsos Synovate also found that Raila would narrowly beat his other deputy Musalia Mudavadi in a run-off. And despite Mudavadi’s imminent exit from ODM, he and Raila are still the most preferred pair, with Mudavadi as the running mate. According to the poll, Raila Odinga remains the most popular presidential candidate at 34 percent.
